Stop out for a bite to eat and a chance to meet Tracey Long who is the new Administrator at Shady Rest! Let’s give her a warm Cascade welcome!

Tracey Long assumed the position of Administrator at Shady Rest Care Center in June 2017. Tracey has worked in long term care for approximately seven years as a Social Services Director and more recently as Administrator at the Elizabeth Nursing Home & Grand View Estates.

Tracey resides in Dubuque with her family. Her husband, Curt, is employed at Clarke University, and they have three children: Cam, a junior at Luther College; Meghann, a freshman at Loras College; and Gracie, a junior at Wahlert. In her spare time, she enjoys keeping up with her children’s extracurricular activities, reading, and travelling.

I look forward to the challenges of providing the highest quality of care to the Cascade and surrounding communities,” Tracey states. “We have a great team at Shady Rest, and we will continue to build on the solid foundations that are in place to provide the best experiences for our residents.

Shady Rest Care Center recently received a “Deficiency Free” designation in its annual August 2017 survey by the Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals. The survey is conducted over several days and inspects areas such quality, safety and performance, resident rights, food service, environmental, and administration. Receiving a “deficiency free” survey is very impressive as it demonstrates that Shady Rest meets and exceeds State and Federal guidelines.

Tracy looks forward to meeting other Chamber members at the Lunch & Learn next month. Please plan to join us for lunch Tuesday Oct. 3rd. at Noon. See Attached File
